1. Service Overview

MakeEmotes ("the Service") is a browser-based tool that allows users to create custom emotes, animated emotes, and subscriber badges for Twitch, Discord, 7TV, BTTV, and FFZ. All image processing is performed locally in your browser — no images are uploaded to our servers.

2. Free and Pro Tiers

The Service offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro tier that unlocks all animations, frames, badges, composite images, and custom border colors. The Pro tier is a one-time purchase (not a subscription). There are no recurring charges.

3. Payment and Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). By purchasing Pro, you agree that:

  • The purchase is a one-time, non-refundable digital product.
  • As a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase, refunds are generally not available. See our Refund Policy for details.
  • Your Pro license may be activated on up to 2 devices.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Share, resell, or redistribute your Pro license key or transaction ID.
  • Use the Service to create content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes on third-party rights.
  • Attempt to bypass the free-tier limitations without a valid Pro license.
  • Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any emotes and badges you create using the Service. We claim no rights over your creations. The Service itself (code, design, branding) is owned by MakeEmotes and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all browsers and devices. Background removal quality may vary depending on the input image.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeEmotes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
